Ах, Антон... Жизнь - жестокая штука. Без продуманой стратегии и тактики вероятность успеха ничтожна. Если узнать, что ожидает в том или ином месте "ботаника" и как ему выкрутиться успешно - можно сразу прикинуть более широкие возможности человека "не ботаника".

Резко представила себе такого хиппи волосатого в длинном балахоне и с чётками в руках, который вдруг резко начинает кричать "Я Джон Уэйн!" и размахивать револьвером и всё это в задрипанном трейлер парке, правда на фоне какролинских гор.

Примерно так.  Короче, покупайте себе что сможете в Карборо, и будет Вам счастье.  Как я уже выше писАла - впишетесь в лужайку перед Weaver Street Market как будто Вы там всю жизнь тусовались.

Карборо, это одно из немногих мест, где Ваши странности (в сравнении со среднестатистическим американским стандартом, т.ч. не обижайтесь) будут скорее нормой.  Там ещё не такие бороды/татуировки/чалмы/верования встречаются.  Карборовка - это такая дырка в Bible belt.  Лучше Вам здесь не найти.  Это я без всяких подколов и подвохов.
